Charge Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Telemetry) – Full Time Nights

Work location: 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Nights 7P-7A. Weekend and holiday requirements.

Medical Surgical department highlights: Med/surg Telemetry (29 Beds)- Medical Surgical patients and patients on Cardiac Telemetry. We take a wide variety of patients which includes telemetry, post cath management, some cardiac drips etc. Ratio is 1:5 but occasionally goes up to 6 on night shift. This unit has high patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores.

Here's What You Need

Education

  • Nursing Diploma required or
  • Associate degree Nursing required or
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Experience

  • 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting required
  • 2 Years’ Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days required and
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days required

This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed. Individuals in this role will demonstrate
